As well as being the "other" voice you hear on Coastal Daybreak, Ken Oberlin is our traffic manager and oversees a vital part of the day to day operations of The Talk Station.
THE TALK STATION HISTORY
In 1992 WTKF 107.3 FM hit the airwaves as North Carolinas FIRST "FM" Talk Station. That's right the First FM talk station in the state of North Carolina. Ten years after signing on, we expanded our programming to Jacksonville via simulcast on WJNC 1240 AM
On January 22nd 2008, at 3 PM 107.3 FM went dark and 107.1 FM became the new home of the Talk Station
